My boyfriend was having a crummy day yesterday, so I offered to bake him something to make him feel better. He requested “something chocolate, with chocolate on top, plus chocolate.” This is what I came up with:
Flourless mocha torte, with mocha frosting on top, plus semisweet chocolate curls.

Sorry about the distracting background and whatnot, but I wasn’t willing to spend much time setting up the shot when there was a slice of that torte waiting for me.
Since it’s now June, otherwise known at my house as The Month of a Billion Strawberries, I imagine any near-future installments in this series will involve some of the many things you can do with strawberries. If you have any recipes or ideas for what to do with them, please, leave ‘em in the comments! Don’t be worried about quantity; we pick literally gallons of berries every day in the middle of June.
